Account Executive

As Design Center’s Account Executive, you will develop relationships with Fortune 500 companies, selling business solutions created by a highly talented group of designers and developers. Our industry-leading mobile applications contain a unique blend of top-notch user experience and cutting-edge technology.

Design Center is hiring an Account Executive in our St. Paul, MN office to help us continue our unprecedented growth.

The account executive owns the client relationship and is ultimately responsible for their overall impression of Design Center. You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with your assigned clients, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. Critically important, is your ability to liaise between clients and cross-functional internal teams, ensuring the vision our designers present results in the best possible outcome for the client. Design Center, Inc. is looking for an Account Executive that knows how to dig deep for information, gaining knowledge of each client’s buying process, truly qualifying the opportunity by knowing how to find and ask the right questions.

DETAILS

Accountabilities

  • Qualify and convert leads
  • Prospecting and closing projects with new and existing clients
  • Build and maintain client relationship
  • Account growth (sales) and maintenance
  • Sell Design Center’s customized mobile software solutions
  • Write statements of work
  • Collaborate with operations on estimating
  • Contribute data to the pipeline metrics documentation
  • Liaison and advocate for client and Design Center
  • Communicating and setting expectations with client and Design Center team
  • Validates the vision presented by design team meets the client’s requirements
  • Facilitates communication around scope creep and budget adjustments

Mobile Application Developer

Design Center is hiring a Mobile Applications Developer in our St. Paul, MN office.

Design Center, Inc. is looking for mobile application developers with experience or a desire to write native mobile applications for iOS and Android. You will have the opportunity to develop and maintain our custom designed mobile applications, and help us develop applications for new technologies like virtual and augmented reality. Applicants should be comfortable in an environment where you’ll be working alongside other developers, designers, copywriters, and 3D artists. You’ll be asked to take on new challenges consistently as part of a small team of developers implementing applications of all sizes.

Our Development Team

  • Develops maintainable code under industry standards, best practices, and guidelines
  • Collaborates with multi-functional teams within Scrum methodology
  • Creates engaging custom applications with complex animations and effects

Senior UX Researcher

Design Center is hiring a Senior UX Researcher in our St. Paul, MN office. Design Center, Inc. is looking for a UX Researcher to grow the UX Research discipline at the company. We are looking for an ambitious, collaborative, self-starter. The main function of this role is to define and conduct user research methodologies and objectives while taking direction from the UX Manager. Design Center is seeking a usability expert who understands user groups, their tasks, work environments, mental models, competitive landscape and the rapidly evolving data landscape. UX Researcher supports UX designers, UX manager, and Sales to identify research opportunities and approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quickly turning around all aspects of UX research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, findings presentations).
  • Thorough behavioral data-collection and analysis (e.g. designing, conducting and analyzing various kinds of user data).
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across varying levels of the organization, both internally and with our clients.
  • Demonstrate thought-leadership with a passion for translating data into action.
  • Define the proper research method for multiple projects, with varying levels of input from clients and internal stakeholders.

Design Center, Inc. is looking for a UX Designer to understand the customer need and create software solutions that are easy to use and provide a highly engaging experience. We are looking for someone focused on strategic vision who drives great execution. The main function of this role is to create meaningful and cohesive end-to-end experiences through a deep understanding of our customers and exceptional design execution. You will help us define all aspects of our projects: user flow, core UI elements, and interaction patterns and intuitive visual design. Design Center is seeking a Senior UX Designer who can excite and inspire cross-functional teams to prioritize the user in the work that they do. The Senior UX Designer plays a critical role in mentoring UX Designers and other agile team members to ensure we are creating market-leading experiences and grow future talent within the agile teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, voice of the customer, personas and user journeys, customer feedback and usability findings – all within budget.
  • Design app & web interfaces that will bring an exceptional and consistent user experience across multiple digital platforms.
  • Help define and oversee the UX process, ensuring best practices are employed across different teams.
  • Able and willing to mentor other members of the UX team.
  • Monitor industry best practices, trends, and new technologies and evaluate them for possible adoption.
  • Identify areas of efficiency within Design Center’s UX practices (pattern & style libraries, knowledge sharing, etc.) and help implement & maintain these practices.
  • Contribute to Design Center’s overall strategy to become a UX leader in the Twin Cities, and be seen as a thought leader within the UX online community.

Experience: Skills & Requirements

  • 5-7 of experience designing complex UX solutions for complete digital environments including mobile and responsive design, software/app development, and other digital channels, including web, tablet, AR, VR.
  • Facilitate the product owner’s vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user testing proposed experiences for digital products.
  • Proven ability to advocate strongly for both the needs of the end-user, as well as the business needs of our wide range of clients, using research and data as the driver of your design decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills, including the ability to clearly communicate complex, interactive design concepts to influence different audiences.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UX/Interaction Design guidelines for iOS and Android.
  • Ability to work on many projects and teams in parallel.
  • Demonstrated success working in a collaborative & Agile team environment, directly with developers, for implementation of the design.
  • Experience with front end development, HTML & CSS skills are a plus.
